That's the radiator I used on my 1600 mx5. Others here have too and report it can cool their engines. It fits well and the the in/outlets are positioned well enough to work. See my thread for some pics.

Some here have recommended a Mercedes rad which fits and is much thicker.

Yep, Mercedes 190 is the one.

Radiators work much better when the air passes through the cooling fins rather than escaping around the large gaps between the nose cone and the rad. Electric fans mounted to the back of them also work much better with a simple cowling, there's a product for some one to put in to production.

you want merc 190e petrol manual, no aircon upto 2.3 iirc
