cheers Steve, I phoned footman james today to get a quote for insurance on the vin with change to official reg once dvla supply it, 5k miles pa... £168 for a Haynes with an mx5 1.8 and supercharger
 so this will be in effect the day before the test.The lady there was really helpful and knolageble So now to finish off those frustrating little bits n bobs and keep looking for anything I've missed
