![]() Don't laugh - my daily drive is a 1.4 HDI Citroen C3 (I can hear you laughing) which I picked up cheap about 5 years ago. Regularly does 60-80mpg and road tax is £35 a year.Even though I keep thinking about changing it I can't bring myself too it as it is so cheap to run! My motorbike on the other hand costs £66 a year to tax!

![]() So if I read it right, £1000 comes from the government and £1000 is expected to come from the car manufacturer??? Having recently bought a new car and got an amazing discount, I'd be kind of surprised if you can get the £1000 discount from the manufacturer without trading anything in

![]() I have just read comment from the head of the AA on the scrappage allowance and the increase in fuel tax is what we will all pay for the priviledge.
