Looks like most people just drill into the chassis rails (and rivnut?) to secure their p clips? Does the 'perforated strip' idea mentioned in The Book mean "welding on a strip of 1mm plate that you've drilled a load of holes in" - like the pic in Dogwoods post (page 1 of this thread). And do most people not bother with this approach? Just want to make sure I weld everything necessary before painting!!!

![]() I used 40 x 3 , drilled every 100mm with 3mm holes for pop rivet's ,top and bottom of tunnel.
