![]() That doesn't seem to be a standard Pinto alternator bracket.
The extra distance outward wont make a difference, it'll be taken up by the adjustment of the belt, but the standard Pinto bracket would have the "outside" hole about 26mm lower down. It would be interesting to find out what it's from as it neatly solves the alternator/steering column problem. Cheers Chris ![]() |

![]() Hmmm - that is interesting. Explains my confusion. This is the bracket that came straight off my 1987 1.8 GL engined Pinto. Here are a couple of pics below of how it looks on the engine -
