You have the same thought as I Ronnie, exhaust not supposed to point at the kerb and pedestrians etc,obviously the same myth.

I'm pretty sure it does but i'm sure i have read somewhere that there has to be a heatshield around the silencer for the IVA, for the SVA there didn't. My CVH the exhaust was on near side no problem.

The zetec also exits on the nearside and the duratec back to the pinto / offside for some reason.

sorry for hijacing, i have a quick Question about the exhaust, in the manual it sais something like the exit must be within 2 inch of the outer edge, is this relivent since the entire can is outside the car or does the outlet have to be within 2 inch os the outer edge of the rear arch????
