![]() i just wrote to my local dvla office telling them what i was up to and asked to have a vin number issued. about a week later an a4 envelope turned up with a letter stating the vin plus all the registration forms.
that was maidstone dvla btw. they seem to know the score but i will hold final judgement until the car is registered on the road ![]() |

![]() Yea I've never had much problem with Maidstone office.
They always seem reasonable to me. I took my car in for inspection. 45 min's later walked out with my new reg number and tax disc. Well done Maidstone DVLA.. I hope that ain't the kiss of death for you Ash.. ![]() David |

![]() ![]() They are accepting the chassis number I made up. Aparently it's all in the first three letters. If the combination is already assigned to a car company then you can't have it. World database apparently!! Sounds impressive. Anyway, well happy as I had already stamped the number onto the chassis. Got his direct phone number as well so no need to go through Swansea anymore. ![]() Leon,
The number I have is for the guy at dvla exeter. You would have to contact your local office. You would still need to write to them as they will start a file and put your letter in it. Thanks Gus |
