![]() Why not use CO2,from your local fire extinguisher company,you buy and own the bottle,refills real cheap,stronger welds,more spatter,and as bottles out of date can be picked up for real cheap you can have the 2nd one tested and always have a spare gas bottle.
I must say that I am out of touch with the very latest developments,but I did a lot of Mig welding nearly 40 years ago using a BOC Lynx CO2 welder,in those days it was called CO2 and it sure worked great so I see no reason for anything to have changed. Last time I bought CO2 for myself the fire extinguisher Company charged me about $20 NZ for a 2nd hand tested bottle,and about $15 NZ to fill it. But then our Government does not "print money' like the UK so we have a much cheaper price on everything.What a turn around from when everything of quality and good pricing came from England. Of course you could all learn to arc weld and save yourselves a fortune!! Could not resist that dig ![]() |
