![]() Devestated for you Ash
![]() Perhaps a locost option would be to use a small spot weld drill & plug weld the baffle back in place. I know you have run out of Argon, perhaps there is someone local who can do a couple of plug welds for you ?? Hope you get it sorted ![]()

![]() i can do that ronnie but the problem is getting the baffle back in the right place as there is very little space to get any tools into the tank to put it back.
im kicking myself now because i knew i should of welded it properly rather than spot welding it. i dont know anyone local that has an ac tig. normally people come round to use mine lol |

![]() I didn't realise that the baffle had come away completely
![]() Just wish I was in a position to help Ash. Got Argon, got filler rods but 400 miles away ain't a lot of help ![]() If only we had the benefit of hindsight ![]()

![]() Crazy idea here....
You cab buy tank repair paint. usually used to seal up the inside of fuel tanks. Could you empty the tank, pour the paint / sealer in and this should hold the baffle from moving about. OK it won't be the best fix, as bodges rarely are. But atleast it means you don't have to butcher your tank. |
