Heres what the exhaust looks like.
My thought instead of getting the bracket cut off and welded back on, would be to say get 2 rings which would go over the exhaust, clamp on to it and then have a new clamp attached to them, if you get what i mean. (im a bit tired, so may not be making any sense at the moment  )Oops, forgot to attach the picture:
