I used to have a mazda rx-8 and think they are a fantastic engine, people think they are high maintenance and use a lot of oil but they don't. Only downfall is they are very thirsty and low torque but these don't matter in a roadster.

My next choice will be a wankel, perfect compromise between a bike and car engine. 230bhp at 10k rpm.........
