I fabricated both sides in the end as I was unhappy where the engine mount was placed relative to the chassis rails. I fabricated the column side after I had installed the column and finished the mount on the other side |

![]() I believe that for what it takes to remake both engine brackets i would certainly recommend it. So far i have seen two sierra engine mounts split at the rubber joint due to perished rubber. Land Rover engine mounts are cheap and stiffer and do the job very well, sierra mounts are very expensive to replace.

![]() Thanks, guys - I think I'll fabricate new mounts for both sides. For the engine mounts, are you using Land Rover V8 ones like these:
