will look for escorts too now . one thing i forgot to ask is about the exhaust manifold. Will i need to fab my own one or is there any other options i could use. i have already fabricated my cvh exhaust system, but i guess ill have to rethink it if i go down the zetec route. Also on the zetec what should i be doing about things like the alternator ...

(i should also mention i know next to nothing about ford engines )
