sorry mate its a rule and they specifically check for it on the test. simple option is to power your fog light circuit off the headlamp relay with a switch in the +ve line, that's how i did it.

its a new little ruel they snuck into the iva.

think yourself lucky your not a car manufacturer. the regs for them require the fogs to automatically go to the off position when the ignition is turned off and back on again.
