As Ash was saying, it seems there are too many camping to accomodate on the Locost stand.

Really we're not supposed to camp on the stand but they turn a blind eye to a few tents.

We think the fairest way to go would be to have the people with Roadsters at the show to camp on the stand (to be near their cars) and everyone else to camp together on the camping ground.

I hope that this will be acceptable for everyone, The alternative is for no one to camp on the stand and all camp together.

Let me know what you think.

Cheers

Chris

My preference would be for the first option as I prefer to be near my motor, sad I know!

See you all there. Is there anybody that could bring a gazebo again? Would be nice.

Cheers

How far is the Family Camping Area from the Locost stand? I was hoping to bring my 5 year old son along but also to spend the evenings talking like we did last year. If those of us no bringing our roadsters have to camp elsewhere I won't be able to get my son to sleep nearby so I can keep an eye on him unless I can squeeze into the locost stand somewhere.

Hi Adrian

The Locost stand is provided by the Locost car club & as far as I know it has nothing to do with Locostbuilders site.

I dare say that many of the Locost Car Club membership are also members of Locost builders.

The Locost Car Club have been kind enough to provide space on their area to accomodate Haynes Roadster builders & their cars

Yes I believe the Locost car Club is closed to new members .

At Soneleigh last year, Chris Gibbs did explain the reasons as to why the club had been closed to new members & very sound they were too

I believe that the Locost stand has been booked as a block booking & that booking still has a year or two left.

Chris hopes that once the Locost booking expires, Haynes will provide the funding for the next block booking.

Should it ever become the Haynes Roadster stand .... One would hope that the Roadster builders will return the favour & share the facilitys with some of the great Locost lads
