Hmm there's a problem there, the forum doesn't take zip files.

Could you make it into a pdf or word document?

if so click reply and scroll down to "manage attachments" and choose the file type and the file from your computer.

cheers

Chris

Say 'Hello' to the most recent member of the Cobra forum.

Unfortunately I can't paste the file in because the character limit is 10 000 and the doc is 64 000.

Can't attach it either because the attachment limit is 19.5 Kb and the file is 212Kb.

If there is a way to do it, let me know and I'll put it on. Joining the Cobra forum takes seconds, as an alternative.

Neil

It sounds like the new test will follow a similar format to the SVA where one-off builds are concerned. One point I have noticed whilst researching on the web is that there may be a new form of MOT introduced, the test will take longer and part of its criteria is to compare vehicles to standard (or point of single vehicle approval) and if the car has deviated from approved standard identify if DVLA are aware. This could give rise to a re-test.

This could potentially put an end to people passing their car for example with a pinto engine and then sticking a Hayabusa in the following week (might take a bit longer than a week )

Cheers

I've had all 3 books (off road buggy & lo-cost by champion and haynes roadster book by gibbs - top work) for quite a while and I'll hopefully be starting my build within the next 6 months (just moving from west yorkshrie to york first, as you do). I'm guessing it's a bit early to start speculating exactly how this is going to affect individual builds. What's the consensus so far?

Top forum by the way, no doubt I'll be back every 5 mins with the usual questions when the build is underway.

Cheers, Pt6

Welcome to the forum Paul! thanks for the compliments.

I don't think there'll be huge changes, the requirement for a reverse gear might add to the cost of some bike engined cars (this requirement might not be adopted) but generally it's about european harmonisation, hopefully our cousins on the continent will find things a bit easier, and that has to be a good thing

Cheers

chris

BTW if anyone has that IVA document could they mail it to me? - I can't find it!
