![]() Should be okay, you can bend the sender arm for full travel. Be better than blanking the hole and cutting another in the top.
If in doubt you can get a tube of specific sealant for sealing the gaskets: http://www.workshopsupplies.co.uk/co...e_sealant.html I use Dirko Grau which is great stuff. AndyH

![]() if you cant get hold of that sealant you can use nitrile rubber as a gasket. Get it from a local gasket supplier.. Dead cheap

![]() Another question. If you guys wouldnt mind, do you think sikaflexing the tank down would be ok? It cant actualy go anywhere as it is, with no fixings, as the rear tub and frame work holds it in place very neatly?
Edit to say, do you think the IVA man would shout??? Cheers, Jas

![]() Doesn't sound like a good idea to me Jas. I think IVA man would much prefer tank straps! Also think about how you would ever get the tank out if you bonded it in.
Stand to be corrected of course! Cheers Adrian |

![]() Yes, for the sake of a couple of straps i would securely fix it down. Not sure myself but would any spilled petrol act as a solvent and dissolve the Sikaflex.
