Hey, that's a fantastic weekends work Dave

I have to agree, a great milestone has been reached.

Once the paint has hardened ( Won't take too long if the weather stays mild ) & you are able to find some more time, things will come together quite quickly

You'll have a rolling chassis in no time, well done on your progress

Cheers for all the comments guys. Thanks again for the runners Ronnie - they fitted like a dream!

I was hoping to get the car on wheels earlier but having been told I was going on shifts as a site engineer for 4 weeks I decided to get on and get every last bit (fingers crossed) welded to the chassis and painted so the paint could have a few weeks to go off. Just heard on friday that the project we were due to start has been postponed due to production issues until october so looks like I've got more time than expected!

I sprayed the chassis with the 1-2-1 epoxy mastic. Having seen some pictures of a chassis that was brush painted I wasn't confident I could get a reasonable finish with a brush. I also made the mistake of letting the chassis get a light coat of rust so I've spent a long time (with lots of help from my girlfriend) cleaning it back. She even helped me with the spraying today - we had two guns and two compressors on the go - I'm a lucky bugger!
