I have been thinking a little more about this. (No comments you lot).

My first 90 had an LT77 and was screaming in fifth at 60mph the later R380 is a little better, has reverse in the right place as well.

I know the diff has the final say in the road wheel output speed but it might be worth thinking about.

Someone must make a rover V8 to type 9 conversion plate, and then you won’t have to mess around modifying the transmission tunnel.

Just thinking out loud.
