I know both the SR18/20 and A4GE have been used before, the RWD bok from toyota is rare and £££ at least it is in the uk.

we have plenty of cortinas here in wrecking yards
so will try to use as much of the cortina as poss
with the book measurements does the lower front A arm suit the cortina front uprights, or do I have to lenghten or shorten them as i can get MK3 cortina up rights cheap as here about $50pr with brakes.

Hi, the lower arms will have to be shortened by aprox 34mm and upper arms by aprox 18mm Cheers Brendan.

you wont be able to use much off the Tina, they have solid rear axles not independant suspension like the sierra.

your best alternative is an e30/e36 BMW as there are a few people building already.

Sierras are getting expensive here, it can be cheaper to get a BMW newer and in better condition

question??? im in the mood to make some parts for my car, but wont be the chassis,as im short on garage space ( too many toys ).
So im looking at starting the front and rear arms, front chassis frame and anything else i can make
Its been a long time waiting to get this project up and running ( 8months)
so im sure ill be asking heaps of question
1st is ... is it safe to build the arms without the chassis made, what order do most people build their cars
