the extensions don,t require any fettling at all, just fit the rack ( did you get the MKII Escort rack?), then fit the extensions then fit the TRE,s then adust to set the steering ....
 The extensions you currently have....are they the book spec dimensions? if so did they make your wheels steer left & right at the same time? which TRE,s are you using? cheers andy
