Ash may correct me, but the tester said that the covering should be removeable for checking and adjustment of the nut without damage to the covering.

The inspector could not check the nut without damage and the car would then fail on no cover.

I think ???

So if people have used heat shrink (ie for steering rack), I take it they haven't shrunk it?????

Just asking and looking for solutions - getting to that stage.

Another vote for cable glands that fit nice and tight, you can pull them back to make adjustments and push it back again

Also its as permanent as anything else you could use, as it would only come off if you cut it of or dissasemble the tre etc

Mine went through iva with cable glands and there was no comments
