On a blacktop zetec the water pump spins in the opposit direction to the rest of the pullies. Not sure on a silvertop zetec.

As for the sump, it needs shortening. From the top of the sump to the bottom needs to measure 6" all the way round, which also means you need to shorten the oil pick up pipe too.
