I think you're quite right Balidey, but it has certainly come far too late now that, UK in particular, has lost pretty much all of its manufacturing facilities and would cost a fortune to rebuild infrastructure upto the 21st century. Its just a big hit to take for everyone associated with grp products.
It seems that people in power have no imagination and the only way to deal with problems like this is with heavy taxing, maybe its just a way to raise more revenue as they know that we have no alternative for supply. All the Brest...AndyH
