Looking at the manual for the Escort Mk4/5 & 6
The steering arm is at the rear of the hub assembly if this should prove to be the case with the Mk3, you'll end up with clown steering. The mk2 escort rack is designed to opperate the steering via front of hub arms. ( Same as the Sierra )
