thanks for your reply, it'll probably be another 18 months or so before I'm fitting my lights, but I like to think ahead!. I am at the 'fully tacked chassis' stage at present, but it's good to piece together bits of information on what passes and what doesn’t.

What made you put the diagonals in the transmission tunnel? I was planning on doing that, since I have several metres of 19mm ERW left over (I bought and cut the steel). I'd read a few articles on stiffening the chassis, so thought it would be better doing that, than it being left in some corner of my workshop rusting away.
