I have the 1.8 pinto engine.

UncleF has sorted out the gearboxes for you, the most obvious difference between the pinto and the CVH is that the exhaust is on the right in a pinto and on the left on the CVH (as seen from the drivers seat or gearbox end of the block).

The exhaust is also on the right in the zetec but it has a twin cam cover - this drawing and pictures might help.
