One way round this is to use 1mtr lenghts of studing and some scrap 25 box section. Cut the box section to the correct spacing of the brackets and nut them in place, have the studing project forward into the seat area. G clamp the brackets in place and measure from an edge of br5-6 just in front of sb1 to the studding, then measure again from u5-6 and compare and adjust to suit. This will give you a better idea of where your brackets are pointing. Don't forget that you can correct the toe in/out by packing/shiming the bearing carrier on the upright.
