Thanks guys for all the comments - certainly is a fantastic feeling. Sounds greate with no silencer on it at the moment - reminds me of an airplane staritng up

Must admit I was very nervous before turning the key - even though I had previously cranked the engine over, got oil pressure and sparks previously. Holly popped down the garage after finishing work so I spent the morning tidying the car up and double and triple checking everything before filling it with fuel and checking the fuel system over.

First drive will have to wait until I get a prop and some flexible brakehoses.

Ronnie - manifold has worked great - thanks for help with it. At the end of the video I think I was more shocked that it had actually started!

monsterob - yes I'm very lucky that Holly is so supportive. She's spent a few hours with a wirebrush helping me clean parts and then paint them. She even helped me spray the chassis!

Spikehaus - string - I think you should know that it was actually a piece of leftover wire from the loom We used to use this method for starting engines first time on our dyno cell - meant you could stand outside the cage in case they went bang
