Hiya mate

I,m planning on applying for the test in the next 2 weeks or so....plan is test at end of March, if it fails, get a quick retest ( fingers crossed ) then hopefully I,ll have it road registered during April in time for driving it to Stoneleigh ( only a year late.......ask Ash LOL).

I,ve bought some brand new calipers ...yes I know.......bought something NEW & would like to fit them before the test, sooooooooo how do you fancy sitting in the car pumping the pedal for me again please ? let me know when you,re free

cheers for the offer of help .

cheers

Fill the cylinder to the top and open the bleed nipples and let it drip out of the calipers, you may be suprised and get a good pedal. Works for me most times.

You can imagine how many brake pipes I do running an MOT station

Two set's today

If at first you dont succeed, avoid skydiving...

No parachute require to freefall, only if you want to do it twice.

Cheers Paul, I,ll give that a go,

I,ve only ever done the "pedal down, release the bleed nipple, nip it up again, release pedal" method before on cars

Soooooooooo much easier on bikes where I can reach the lever or the brake pedal whilst bleeding the caliper

cheers

A BIG thanks to forum member "Tex", who came over & helped me bleed my brakes today, got a nice pedal pressure , tho I think I,m going to install new brakes shoes in the drums before the test,

Took it for a little test run, and now have the front brakes locking up before the back, it felt GGGGGrreat to drive it again .

Cockpit is all finished & I think it looks really smart

Just the bonnet catches & some more edging trim to fit & make the tub lid & its done

Sorry if I,ve been quiet on the forum ( you all sigh .....enjoying the peace eh ), I,ve just been really busy finishing my car.

cheers
andy
