Cheers Ronnie ,

Being truthful, I did quite enjoy the day working on the car, sun was out , car was looking good & the little odd jobs are quite satisfying as they don,t take too long to finish ( if that makes sense, gives a sense of achievement completing the task etc)

Yes, all the senders are correct for the gauges as bought as a set etc, the oil temp gauge has worked before & seemed happy at 80, but now showing 120 after only a few mins running, when i first start the engine it takes ages to register any oil temp, then all of a sudden today it jumped to 120

I,m starting to think maybe I have a poor earth somewhere, tho it shouldn,t have as all my earth connections are new & secure etc...

Ahh, maybe its just the car "trying it on" with me ,

Just got 3 things left to do to the car,
bootlid
bit more trim
& the one I,m dreading.....fitting the bonnet catches, now normally this is fairly straight forward but I,m using Dzus fasteners & its critical that the holes I drill in the bonnet line up with the catch plate in the engine bay....gulp ....don,t want to spoil my shiney bonnet

cheers
andy
