Mine was extremely faint on my original engine but i left it alone rather than re-stamping

The dvla inspector said if i had re-stamped it it would have been an automatic Q plate

May give them & vosa a ring and ask for what kind of evidence you would need with regards to an honest re-stamp

If they tell you want you want to hear ask for it in writing!!

Because you can guarantee the next person you speak to will contradict everything you have already been told
