7ishNZ, my engine has a steel plated sump that is also slanted at about the angle you mentioned. Luckily the motor fit under my bonnet (as can be seen in pics posted previously) on the lowest side of sump flash with frame bottom.
Im just going to make the sump flat bottomed level to the lowest corner with some slosh baffles fitted.
