Default seat fitment

how does everyone fasten there seats to the chasis i'm not using runners so was just thinking of welding brackets straight onto chasis is this considered to be okay

i just welded two 3.5mm straps from the top of the outer rails to the top of the tranny tunnel rails and bolted the seats to them with m10 bolts and big washers. Can jump up and down on them and theres no movement whatsoever.

I welded in 2 bits of 25mm box across the gap between tranny tunnel and outer rails. On the passenger side, using runners on the drivers

same here two bits of 25mm box per seat havent got runners yet but took the measurement every one uses from the metro seat runner combo

i best find some metro seat runners really !

id be a bit worried about the floor falling off, especially if its just riveted on

Did this on a previous car that passed IVA should be fine there should be oots of rivets in the floor anyway

Thanks for all the advice can't bolt to the floor as seats are side fastening but can just make up some suitable brackets to hold them, cheers
