Simple way to do it is just add a few extra 20x20 uprights along the tunnel.

I was about to have nightmares of the prop shaft appearing through the tunnel skin

dunning and fairbank £105 ex vat and postage for a all new shaft with rebuildable ends and grease points

I was going to diagonally brace the tunnel and save my legs from the prop. But also put in more braces on the bottom of the tunnel so it can't hit the ground either. I don't like upside-down motoring!

Default loop

I think the less space you give the prop to rattle about in the better so really the loop as in my first post is probably the best way. 6" of gear tunnel is going to be a playground for a prop at 7000rpm.
