Where should the missing tooth on crank pulley sit when engine is at tdc?

When you say pickup do you mean sitting under the crank sensor?

std is tooth 9 at the pickup normal 4cyl ecus and anything with edis (9th tooth after gap with normal crank direction of rotation)
megasquirt2 with direct vr pickup can run it anywhere
