![]() I design it and had someone do all the bending and ends prepared for welding. I done the final fettling and welded it all.
It is designed to fit all bodywork just needs a slot cut out of scuttle so it slips over the tube. One thing I added was a 2" tube going the full width of the car to add a good front cage mount and side impact strength in the leg area.

![]() looks rather neat that and can see a canny way you can fit the scuttle and make it look like it was meant to be as wouldn't lose all of the mounting flange. Plus would gain strength due to change of shape.

![]() I've had a bit of good luck recently with regard to blasting and powder coating, turns out there's a company less than 1/4 mile away from my business premises that can do both. I've just had a pair of outriggers for a motorhome done by them and its a first class job. Their charges seem reasonable, £40 per hour for blasting and the oven is £80 a session so it could be as little as £120 to do my chassis. I'm thinking of having the bones done in red and the chassis in black, black wingstays with red wings.
