![]() Thats the one I have for my Cosworth V6. What exactly do you mean by "self mapping" though?

![]() Was sifting through the ecu possibilities when i stumbled across this article.
http://www.biggles.net/emerald.html I have had two of the emerald ecu systems but did not realise they had come so far in recent years. The last one I had was torture and i ended up at emeralds to get dave walker to map it. . This new k3 with the adaptive learning has to be a godsend. It appears to be totally home user friendly, or is it cxxp? Bob

![]() It is adaptive to AFR as long as a wide band lambda sensor is used but that hardly makes it self mapping in my view. I still believe it is a cracking ECU and I fully intend to take mine to Dave Walker's place in Norfolk for a proper rolling road setup once completed, god only knows when that wil be though

![]() It will adjust your fuelling with a wideband Lambda - but you will need to have a target AFR table set first.

![]() ms can do it with tuner studio you give it an afr target at a particular rpm/boost setting it will try to hit it. it still doesn't replace mapping properly on a rr and doesnt work too well if the base map is really poor but should stop you having any accidents with fuelling and get the car running pretty reasonable.

![]() yep ash is right. as for all of the ecu's it requires you have all the ign timmings set right in the first place
where a rolling road is handy but its good to have for iva and getting the car driveable and running ok also save a few quid when it comes to dyno time |
