![]() That made me laugh out loud Bob
![]() Went for a trip up to the scrappy this morning ( As you do when you are bored ) Spotted on the way to & from: Ford Anglia, Triumph Dolomite & an Austin princess. I know the Princess isn't a true classic .... Well not in these parts, to us, that is nearly a new car ![]() Austin A40 Countryman was my first propper motor ![]() I loved the drivers hand book, even had instructions on how to drive it. Guess no driving test in those days ![]()

![]() First car I owned was 1967 mini countryman that was given to me, it never ran again
![]() ![]() First road legal car was a mk2 A40, 1100cc and seemed to stick to the road like crap on a blanket. That was followed by a 1.8 Marina mk1 that had an unhealthy appetite for rear springs. An Austin 1800S of 1971 vintage came next, fantastic car. I went from Telford to Sunderland in that in 4 hours in a blizzard, it was simply superb in snow! After that there was a Renault 5TS, a Fiat 131 Miriafori estate then I got into camper vans. D.
