Build cost.... seems to be spending more on tools than car bits at the moment! (they will be handy in the future though). Car iva'd and passed 15/08/2014. Finished weight 572kg. |

![]() Hi Ken, I'll echo that, Screwfix Item code: 14233 Pop Rivet 3.2 x 10 - Pack of 500 for £ 5.28. After Boyes' el cheapo riveter fell to bits half way through rivetting, I bought the forged steel one from Screwfix, hell of a lot better. Dave.

![]() Sealed rivets would be my personal choice.
Perhaps a couple of builders could get together & split a box ![]()

![]() I like your thinking Bonzo! Now i have another dilema though - aluminium mandrel, steel mandrel, stainless steel mandrel - too many choices!

![]() that is why my floor is steel. Too much agony over rivets, I will just MIG weld it!

![]() I did the same and just used up the 3mm plate I had left. Probly heavier for it but saved me money re-using and it was alot easier to weld it on. I'm only going to use rivets for the seat back & tranny tunnel panels personally.
