I dont quite thik ye can compare a "Stig" trained driver to the average man on the street....
I do get where you are coming from on the power and how you use it.... For me I want to get it up n running with a 1900, If i want to go faster i'll take the bike out....  Bertie.

It's why a lot of racing formula's use rollling starts, less chance of everyone going sideways and causing mayhem.
