Not a compressor but I have a Clarke combi lathe/mill and when I got it the motor wouldn't run at all, contacted Machine Mart where I bought it from and they sent me a new motor within a couple of days. Its quite common with Clarke gear apparently.

Thats the trouble with machine mart/clarke. Their stuff used to be semi descent and cheap too. Ive noticed prices rising, and quality becoming rubbish. Some stuff not even fit for hobiest/diy use. Sign of the times i suppose. I have a clarke drill press, cost about £500 about seven years ago, its a beast and its never skipped a beat. I was speaking to someone the other day with the same sort only a year or so old said it was rubbish.

Am taking it back and asking for my money back due to it clearly not being fit for purpose think I will go to the auctions end of this month and get one and maybe a few other things to go with it had loads from the local auction usually cheap and normally get some decent stuff
