![]() My accelerator cable goes through a short piece of tube welded into the bulkhead by the pedal and pushes against a washer on the threaded part of the cable to set the tension. This is ok normally when the cable is under any tension but worries me that if the cable gets slack the end of the threaded part can drop out of the end of the tube and then catch on it- this could happen if the pedal is floored and released quickly. Ive limited this to a certain extent by using cable ties to restrict the movement of the outer cable but i will be fabricating a light bracket to hold the threaded section of the outer cable tight up to the bulkhead tube that can be readilly unbolted in case the cable needs to be adjusted or replaced.

![]() Thank you Kev. I thought about it too, but how will you attach the cable end to the clevis? Actually, what I don't know is how the end of the Sierra accelerator cable looks like (pedal side). I tried to find pictures on Google, but it looks like there are different models. How is yours ?

![]() However you end up fittng it make sure it swivels or it will snap the cable as Handy Andy found out with his clutch cable.

![]() my sierra accelerator pedal had a nipple on the end of the pedal and the cable has a socket with a black metal clip if you use the nipple and socket it will rotate freely and will be close to the origional so no specialist cables required i will post some pics of mine on my flickr account later
