if it helps any know tvr's used the old rover v8 and iirc all used a borg warner t5 gearbox thats pritty bulit proof and might open your options a little

tvr's do use t5's but they are ******** expensive but yeah bullet proof!

Im tempted to buy that now.
Been considering that engine for my next build
But need to stay focussed-Im going for a finish in the next month or so
Its a great engine for low cost.
