![]() If all was well before dont worry about it. It wont have failed just by sitting there. You can get this situation on any box when the engine is not running, on a lot of boxes reverse is straight cut and dont like to mesh while not turning. If the prop is on try moving the vehicle slightly.

![]() You should defiantly be able to put a type 9 into reverse with the vehicle stationary (without even using the clutch). Have you adjusted the throw on the gear selector, stopping it from sliding past the reverse detent?
If you have access, you can remove the cover plate behind the selector arm and check to see if the lever is moving correctly, then pop it back on. The plastic saddle lasts for ages, unless its broken, I wouldn't bother replacing it. |

![]() I had to replace mine recently, as I had a very sloppy gearstick
![]() ![]() The saddle that fits under the gearstick are also available made from brass, but cost approx £27 ![]() ![]() Nice gearstick action now cheers andy |
