One question regarding the L7 seats.
The mounting points are the same with the Triton seats?
So if i make my seat mounts to fit the Triton, will i be able to fit the L7 seats without altering the mounts?

Picking up my seats this week.
I've gone for a pair of second hand westfield ones with runners for £130, they're my favorites style for padded seats so chuffed as long as they are in good nick! They even have white piping to match my bodywork so happy days!

DC shame you had problems with Triton ones on my last build I had some and the quality was top notch. I did hear and as said earlier a few companies have copied (taken moulds) from their design and in some cases selling them as Triton seats on ebay. I don't think Triton has made these for over two years, did you definately get originals?

Default MX-5 seats can be used

I've bought a pair of MX-5 seats and used an angle grinder to cut away a lot of metal that was sticking out and also part of the hinging mechanism. Seat and backrest were welded in a fixed position. It's tight but they fit into the book chassis. Sliders included.

I will get dimensions as soon as I find time to measure them in my friend's Smart

EDIT:
OK - so Smart seats are 46cm wide (hard part), so I think they are useless without modifications.

Another helpful dimension - Smart steering rack is about 53-54cm (it was wet, and couldn't measure precisly without geting dirty) ... but it's definitely not a quick rack
