after a full rebuild or long period ofidleness it may take some time cranking to get good oil circulation and fill the tappets. During this time the engine may flood with fuel.

Lack of compression can come from 4 options.

1) Stuck open valve
2) Leak between head/HG/block
3) Stuck rings or general bore wear
4) damaged casting ( head,pison or block)
