Have 2 out of the 4 bonnet latches on now. will need some minor finishing on final assembly but they make a big difference holding the lid in place

Oooohh..

4 out of 4 bonet catches on. May need some fettling to get them tighter...

And I have started looking at the column bearing, need to bash out the old style mount. The new bearing has been tested in place and looks good.

Try and get a few pics later tonight has been a very long time since a decent shot has been taken.

Fired her up always sounds good even for a 1.8CVH

then bashed off the old column bearing mount, just need to grind down the old welds and then fit up the new bearing.

Sold a 2.0DOHC so there is a little more space to play with in the garage. It's just not very tidy.

Column bearing is now in place, couple of little mits to tidy on it but it's going to be much better than the sierra item.

Then got distracted by firing up the 24V sierra.

And then set about removing the front suspension from the XR4x4 in order to get ready for removing that cars engine and starting the repair work on the shell. Cut out a long bit of rotten sill.

3 Projects, time share, slow progress.

Very Very Slowly.

Usual thing, get al the heavy big jobs done and then slow right down on the small things.

24V sierra is 12 Years Off road.
