![]() Yes, CP10, according to the book's specs, are too long. It is not a big problem.
But one thing is important : you have 2 different measurements between the holes and edges. At one end it is 25mm, at the other end, it is 31mm. The important thing is to put 25mm one at the bottom, and 31mm one at the top. Place the lower edge of CP10 (25mm end) on the chassis first, and mark and grind the extra length on the top part of CP10 to fit them. Hope this will help ![]()

![]() I did notice that the holes weren't equal at each end an was wondering if it was best to grind from top or bottom, so you have cleared that up. Thanks.

![]() Another quick question as I'm starting to wonder if ive positioned diff wrong.
I have setup the diff so the diff input is central to the chassis, Is this correct? With the drive shafts being different lengths I'm wondering if it's supposed to be offset slightly. |

![]() Yes, that is correct.

![]() Phew!
Any idea why the drive shafts are different lengths? |

![]() I think the diff output bearings are offset so this is countered by different shaft lengths. It all comes out in the wash

![]() Cos the crown wheel lives to one side of the pinion gear , this makes the whole diff go slightly off center towards the drivers side .Hence two odd length driveshafts. If the pinion went to the nearside you would get 5 reverse gears

![]() This is what i did. It works very well and keeps everything center. Only one of the bolt holes is wider so used the original bracket and then cut out the area and moved half if the bracket to the other side and then made a wide spacer.
