I coated under my rear wings, clamshells as well as my nosecone using a truckbox bedliner.
The coating is very light as well as very strong and so far none of the many rocks coming off the wheels has cracked or damaged the top surface of the fiberglass, it has worked out perfectly and I wouldn't hesitate recommending its use. Al

The cobras suffered with stone impact from under the wings and everyone used that rubberised underseal http://htsmall.classicchevy.com/asse.../88-0278-1.jpg It works well but you do need to gag it on there to build up the thickness.

I remember Myth busters testing spray/paint on epoxy truck bed liner they covered a whole car with it and crashed in to various things, it acted like reinforcement to the panels so might even add alittle strength to the GRP.
